Players were tasked with setting a high score as they shot down alien combatants. There were three styles of Galaga arcade cabinets: two standing and one tabletop version that was frequently seen at Pizza Huts back in the day. Galaxian cabinets could be upgraded to Galaga with a mod kit. It was the sequel to the super popular Galaxian. Galaga was produced and developed by Namco and distributed in North America by Midway Games. This game was one of the best selling cabinets of the 1980's.
